Different vendors have different names for pivot tables, for example Monarch from Datawatch may call it differently as well as other OLAP products, but Pivot Table was a trademark of Microsoft. Now you can explore how to create your own reports using Pivot Tables and explore the usage of Pivot Charts, that in fact let you add nice charts from summarized data in the same way we did for pivot tables in Excel 20. You can configure to use an empty text for zero values or how to display the filter area (Down, Then Over or viceversa). Here you can configure for example if you want to display grand total for rows and columns, or display options for example to merge and center cells with labels. Right click on the pivot table and then PivotTable Options to access the dialog with the options. Chapter 34: Introducing Pivot Tables IN THIS CHAPTER An introduction. You have plenty of options to configure your pivot tables. Note When you add tables to a query, the Tables pane in Query connects the linked. This enables us to build rich reports using the table that was in the other spreadsheet and used as source of the pivot table. There may exist many other useful examples for pivot tables, for example you may be interested to list monthly sales totals for large number of product items. For example in this case we have added Sales Person in the first place (so it will be displayed in the top of the hierarchy) but then you can see we can drill down to see the sum of amount per Country. If you want to use drill down and drill up, you can add more than 1 label to the row labels section. For example, numeric values can be treated as values when you check it in the Pivot Table Field List and text values or labels will be added to Row Labels. You can select the fields and Excel will try to identify the right area to place it (row labels, column labels or values), however now it is your job to move the fields among the different areas to build your report. Now you need to start choosing what fields to add to the report.

10/6/2023 0 Comments Atomic clocks at best buyMost digital atomic clocks are rectangular or square in a roughly 1-foot x 1-foot size, give or take an inch. But, even a basic analog atomic clock can cost twice as much as a basic digital atomic clock. Most atomic clocks use a digital display as it makes it much easier to adjust the time for daylight savings or to a new time zone, and they’re also cheaper.Īnalog atomic clocks still exist and, for many, the visual is much more pleasing. What to know before you buy an atomic clock Digital vs. You can thank all of these decisions and inventions for the misery of adjusting your clocks, or you can pick up a Sharp Atomic Clock with Indoor/Outdoor Temperature Display and never need to worry about setting a time again. Between the two, in the late 1700s, came Benjamin Franklin, the first to propose the idea of daylight savings time as a joke. 6 issue of the journal Science. The first time zone, Greenwich Mean Time, was established in the late 1600s to assist sailors before the invention of the train and railway in the mid-1800s expanded the need for a stable time. For example, one could set up an experiment in space using such an accurate timer to see if atoms behave differently from what conventional theories predict. This ability makes more than a really good timekeeper it might aid in searches for phenomena such as dark matter, Ye said. The clock can essentially measure seconds down to 1 part in trillions. Keeping electrons in that in-between state is difficult, Ye said, and that's another reason the atoms need to be so cold, so that the electrons don't accidentally touch anything else. Ten seconds later we turn on the pulse again and ask the electron, 'Where are you?'" That measurement is averaged over thousands of atoms. "Using that analogy, the laser pulse on the atoms kicks off a coherent oscillation. Until now, atomic clocks had only single "strings" of atoms as opposed to a 3D lattice, so they could not take as many measurements as this one did, Ye said. That laser measures where the electron is located around the nucleus, as a photon from the laser gets re-emitted by the atom - and how many times it oscillated in that period (the 10 seconds).Īveraging this measurement over thousands of atoms is what gives this atomic clock its precision, just as averaging the beats of thousands of identical pendulums will give one a more precise idea of what the period of that pendulum should be. To measure the electron, after 10 seconds, they fired another laser at the atom. Because electrons are governed by the laws of quantum mechanics, one can't say what energy level the electron is in once it is excited, and can only say that it has a probability of being in one or another. (JILA is jointly operated by the NIST and the University of Colorado at Boulder.)Īt this point, the clock was ready to start keeping time: The researchers hit the atoms with a laser, exciting one of the electrons orbiting the strontium's nucleus. "From that point of view, it's a very interesting material it now has properties as if it is a solid state," project leader Jun Ye, a physicist at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, told Live Science. They then start to behave in a way that is less like a gas and more like a solid, even though the distance between them is much larger than what's found in solid strontium. The atoms got so cold that they stopped interacting with each other - unlike a normal gas, in which atoms are running around randomly and bouncing off their fellows, such cooled atoms remain quite still. 10/6/2023 0 Comments Instant air fryer chicken wingsThis does not take into account the time to broil it in the oven or brown in the air fryer. Even better, let your wings chill uncovered in the refrigerator for an hour or two before seasoning. One of them is an abhorrent person and will shoot the cat on. There is a mod in the gift bag that turns the cat into just a regular World of Warcraft style pet that follows you around and just looks cute. The key to keeping him alive is to avoid the gate in Fort Joy that is surrounded by Magisters. There are endless options when it comes to reaching the other side to The Hollow Marshes. This is where the player is meant to escape Fort Joy by any means and with whomever they please. Gratiana can join the others during Call to Arms, and can then be found at the Abandoned Camp. The beginning of Divinity: Original Sin 2 can be one of the longest acts in the game. It's not any better than any of the other summons but if you are a summoner it has decent stats. Gratiana first appears in Sanctuary of Amadia next to a giant head of the goddess Amadia. And if you are a summoner and your incarnate dies the cat can be a backup summon while incarnate is on cool down. Ifan's wolf can be great for that even if you are not a summoner. The cat will stick to ONE of your party members, not your party as a whole. The guards here apparently hate cats, and may send an arrow out of pure spite, ending all of the cat's remaining lives. It is a vast, epic RPG in which you take on the role of a captured Sourcerer, teaming up with fellow captives to escape the prison island you find yourself on and venture forth to seek your destiny. Each time you play, youll find new things to do and fun alternate ways to handle situations. Any other summon such as the Lava Slug, Ifans Soul. Its a bit finnicky but gets the job done. I personally use it when I dont have movement skills on my Summoner. Where you can enhance it and make it a bit more of a suitable choice when your Incarnate is killed. Never underestimate the value of having an extra pet out there just as a distraction. To keep the black furball alive, you'll have to remember about several important things: Keep the cat away from magisters. Divinity: Original Sin 2 will keep you entertained for hours. The Black Cat summon is only worthwhile if youre using the Pet Gift feature. So, its situational ability then, hm, yeah i'd rather just use ap to do damage or ♥♥♥♥ up the enemy, or hell summon an incarnate or something that actually can do decent damage, and can't you do that with incarnates as well? Then with it's jump ability and ability to switch places with it's master it can be useful, though admittedly I have never actually used it. It doesn't do much damage but has pretty high HP. It will follow the first party member it sees, so if there is more than one person in the party, who the cat will follow will need to be decided prior to approaching the area, and that character should be the first to enter. Its factions are so unique I’ve already played full games with three of them and started campaigns with two others. On the one hand, I really enjoy playing Endless Space 2. For all its issues, the AI here is at least semi-competent, which is more than I can say about its predecessor. I will say this about Endless Space 2 though: At least it doesn’t cheat, or at least not more than any other 4X game. Moreover, there’s no penalty to breaking an alliance because, well, you win, so I ended my Sophon campaign by annulling my alliance and getting a very anticlimactic science victory on the very next turn, after spending 15 turns confused about why I was apparently missing two technologies. I had to search the Steam forums to find out what was going on, which is never a good sign. There’s zero indication of this in-game though. Economic victory? You’ll need 50 percent more Dust, and so on. Instead of researching four technologies for a science victory, for example, you and your partner will need to research a total of six between your two factions. If you align with another faction, you better hope they’re going for the same win condition as you because Endless Space 2 makes you both accountable for victory. “Want an alliance? Too bad there’s no way for you to just say yes in this box.”Īnd then there are the weird things-like being beholden to an alliance for your win conditions. If someone demands tribute from you for instance, you’ll have to separately open up the Diplomacy menu, then add some amount you think will satisfy the AI, then send a request-as if you just randomly thought “Oh, I should send that guy some money.” Worse is the Diplomacy interface, which doesn’t even give you a way to respond to incoming messages. Your fellow galactic inhabitants flip-flop between demanding tribute one turn and praising you the next, and there doesn’t seem to be much logic to it. Like most Civilization-alikes, Endless Space 2 doesn’t know how to make its AI opponents behave like real players. My first match, I lost to another civilization’s economic victory before anyone had even fought a single war.ĭiplomacy is too capricious anyway. That’s about 5 percent progress towards winning the game every single turn. Trade is an easily abused system, an inexorable steamroll that will soon see you earning upwards of 30,000 Dust per turn. This brings me to my next point: Victory conditions aren’t at all balanced, with the Economic victory being particularly easy to achieve. You could make it two-thirds of the way through the game without even researching the technologies required to gain access. And that would be a huge mistake, because the Marketplace is one of the easiest ways to earn Dust (the galaxy’s money). Another menu-within-a-menu, the Marketplace, allows you to buy and sell luxury and strategic resources in a virtual stock market, but the system is barely touched on in the tutorial and sort of alluded to as a side note. Ship customization, a major focus of the tech tree, is an impenetrable wall of confusing icons and numbers with barely any reason to engage. Other missteps are definitely design flaws, and could’ve been avoided or mitigated. This problem isn’t limited to Endless Space 2 though. You’ll spend way too much time hovering over different technologies, trying to figure out what exactly you should be prioritizing. But in Endless Space 2, what does “Xenobiology” mean for your fledgling empire? Or “Inter-Species HR”? Yeah, I don’t know either. Playing Civilization, you know exactly what you’re in for when you research “Artillery” or whatever. The tech tree is the worst of the lot, owing in part to the same problems as any future-centric game: You know what you want to do, but not what the tech is called. Certain systems are buried three or four menus deep, waiting to be discovered and exploited, but it’s easy to overlook entire aspects of the game without realizing your mistake. Sometimes Endless Space 2 is so busy being pretty it forgets to actually convey any of the information it wants to convey. As I said up top, Endless Space 2 does have quite a few issues.įirst and foremost is the aforementioned interface woes. It makes you want to play the other factions, to see their stories even when the game itself occasionally flounders. It’s good space opera-pulp sci-fi with a heart to it. 10/5/2023 0 Comments Forspoken frey voice actorBeginning with a cinematic of a freshly-isekai'd Frey reacting with understandable distress to suddenly having to contend with things like dragons and big, spooky wolf monsters, the trailer then shows our first glimpse of Forspoken's magic parkour as Frey zips across badlands and forests. In Forspoken's debut trailer from March of 2021, we're introduced to protagonist Frey Holland by Ella Balinska, Frey's voice and motion capture artist. In some of her shown skirmishes, Frey switches between magic bolts, whips with energy tendrils, and coup-de-grace finishers with a conjured knife. On display is the variety of different combat spells and magic parkour traversal options that Frey can deploy-and it looks to be a substantial one. In the trailer, Frey picks up a sidequest to grab some crafting materials for an artisan in the hub city of Cipal, and then its out into the wilderness to fling fistfuls of magic. This 10-minute gameplay overview from August 2022 gives a pretty full sense of what the standard flow of gameplay will feel like in Forspoken, as Frey explores the open (and almost entirely corrupted) world of Athia. We have a full breakdown of the abilities mentioned in our "What will Forspoken play like?" section of this article. Another feature showcased are spellcraft challenges, which allow Frey to upgrade skills to buff abilities with augments like shorter cooldowns or lower stamina consumption. This Deep Dive: Magic Parkour trailer gives us a close up look at what powers Frey has at her disposal, and how they can combine to let her jump and skate around this unfamiliar land. 10/5/2023 0 Comments Gifted healthcare reviewsTheir dedication to ensuring your success is commendable, and it's obvious that you're thoroughly enjoying the journey. I was with another consortia, I liked them and they offer good training, but now I get reviews on Virtuoso and leads from my profile. I have learned so much I didn't realize I didn't know, and there's always more to learn! My business is growing and I am excited for the future.īeing a part of Virtuoso is a great perk as well. I am glad I trusted my gut and left my former host and switched to GTN. So many willing to offer assistance when needed (like 6pm on a Friday night in the summer!). I appreciate GTN and my colleagues I have met, and those I haven't met yet. My former host did only supplier trainings, I knew there had to be more and I am happy I found it. What most inspired me to join was the support they give the entrepreneur with mindset and all things business. I switched to GTN after much searching, interviewing and reference checks of various host agencies, I kept coming back to GTN. It's made all the difference in professional growth inspired by culture and education. We travel together, 14 GTN advisors and I are just back from 12 days in Tanzania, and as a result, we grow together. We share tips, insights and experiences on our internal system in discussion groups that pale in comparison to snarky online forums. Our clients are worldwide, an enviable difference, and it means we are not competing so let's help each other win. We are not competing like local real estate agents who might compete for a listing in town. It's another level of vetting and advocacy, but it only happens if the culture is there. I was not expecting instant responses to questions or requests for advice yet opening up the browser to 7 responses in thirty minutes is common. Imagine how much the collective mindshare benefits our clients. The collaboration and support amongst advisors in our community is the silver bullet and goes hand in hand with the educational foundation of GTN. The second reason is: In real estate, the most valuable metric is location, location, location, but at a host agency, it is culture, culture, culture. Without education, it would not have unfolded this way and certainly not this quickly. One could launch without the education on the back of my extensive travel and business experience, but aren't your odds of success drastically higher if you are a true expert? Doesn't that take immersion and mentorship? Would I have done more damage to my budding travel reputation with the finance clients I hoped to convert to travel clients had I not? Would I get more than one chance from those clients?įast forward to December 2021, I am in GTN's top producers club (top 30) in my first full year of business! I am invited to the Virtuoso ultraluxe community, attended Belmond's signature Bellini event for 10 USA advisors in Sicily and was on a top producer retreat with GTN. The year-long program was vital to my success. The other requirement was a real education only GTN had both. With Wall Street clientele, the appeal of Virtuoso as the luxury leader in travel helped me narrow my search for a host agency on this very site. We use an advisor and it makes all the difference in the world?" I love the idea, but where do you begin? My dad said, "what about being a travel advisor?
